Ingredients

  • 3 cups rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup bran sticks (e.g. AllbranTM)
  • 1/3 cup slivered almonds
  • 1/3 cup pumpkin seeds
  • 1/3 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1/4 cup sultanas
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/4 cup coconut, shredded or dessicated

Method

  1. Mix all ingredients together
  2. Store in an airtight container (at room temperature) for up to 6 months

Variation:

You can easily substitute any of your favourite nuts such as walnuts or hazelnuts or dried fruits such as apricot, pawpaw, dried apple, raisins.

Serving Suggestion:

Serve with low-fat milk or yoghurt. Add a burst of freshness by topping with fresh fruit.

    Hi Lyn, if it helps with your calculation, one serving of our muesli is just under half a cup. So if you were to have just under 1 cup for breakfast, along with 2 cups of reduced-fat milk, you'd need to double the nutrition information for 1 serving. This would be 2588 kJ or 618 calories. -GM

    I think it would be a good idea if all the recipes had individual serving sizes it’s quite frustrating to just have serving size. Cos trust me my serving size can get big!

    Hi Sttamatina, yes, good point! We tend to say how many serves the whole recipe makes, rather than what one serving is. For this recipe, one serving is about 1/2 a cup of muesli and 1 cup of milk. -AF
