Obesity Policy Senior Coordinator

Emma Groves is the Obesity Policy Senior Coordinator at Cancer Council WA, currently working on an advocacy project to build momentum for policy implementation in Western Australia to create environments that support healthy eating. This involves working in consensus with other organisations, strategic research and communication with the public and policy makers to facilitate regarding obesity prevention policy.

Emma has a background in nutrition and dietetics and has previously worked as an Accredited Practicing Dietitian in clinical and community settings. This background has strengthened Emma’s resolve for the need to address the underlying systems and environments that drive the inequitable distribution of health outcomes and risk factors including healthy eating.
