Eat Brighter Colours
Fruit and vegetables are classified into five colour groups, according to the phytochemicals (plant nutrients) they contain.
Phytochemicals give fruit and vegetables their distinctive colours, smells and health benefits. Different colours in fruits and vegetables tend to correspond to different combinations of nutrients and phytochemicals. Eating plenty of fruits and vegetables in all the colours of the rainbow will give you a great mix of all the nutrients you need to promote good health.
