LiveLighter, Western Australia’s healthy lifestyle campaign, has been named the Grand Prix winner at the inaugural 2015 Marketing Science Ideas Exchange (MSiX) Awards.

The Western Australian Government funded campaign also won the Best Insight award at the ceremony held at Sydney’s Powerhouse Museum last night. The awards recognise excellence in marketing sciences work in Australia.

LiveLighter is managed by Heart Foundation WA in partnership with the Cancer Council WA, and its confronting marketing campaign was created in conjunction with Behaviour Change Partners creative agency.

“LiveLighter is delighted to be awarded top honours at the MSiX awards,” Heart Foundation WA Chief Executive, Maurice Swanson said.

“We are sincerely grateful for the recognition of our work that is based on thorough market research and evaluation and has achieved some encouraging early results.”

Mr Swanson applauded the Western Australian Department of Health for their leadership in funding an evidence-based public education campaign that is leading Australia in addressing the epidemic of overweight and obesity.
“With these two awards, Department of Health WA has set the standard for public health campaigns throughout the country,” Mr Swanson said.

“I’d like to thank Behaviour Change Partners for their understanding of LiveLighter’s objectives, which is vital to creating an award winning marketing campaign.”

“The teams at Heart Foundation and Cancer Council, lead by Campaign Director Maria Szybiak, also deserve congratulations for their exceptional work in managing LiveLighter in Western Australia.”
