Healthy Poached Egg Recipe
- 1 egg
- Add water to the frying pan until it is about 2.5cm deep.
- Place the pan over high heat and bring the water to the boil. As soon as the water boils, reduce the heat to a simmer (you will only see little bubbles form on the bottom and sides of pan).
- Carefully break the egg into the water. As soon as the egg hits the water, start a kitchen timer for 6 minutes.
- Gently remove the egg with a large spoon and let it drain on kitchen paper before serving.
Love sweet coffee? Try reducing the amount of sugar you have a quarter of a teaspoon at a time to trick your taste buds!
