- 1 carrot, thinly sliced
- 1/2 head cauliflower, cut into chunks
- 1 head broccoli, cut into florets
Cut vegetables into similar-sized pieces to ensure they cook evenly. Place vegetables in a microwave safe dish. Cover with a lid or plastic wrap. Microwave on HIGH for 6 to 8 minutes or until vegetables are crisp-tender.
Set up your steamer inside your pot with 1 ½ cups of water in the bottom of the pot and heat over medium-high heat until water is boiling. Place vegetables in steamer and cover with lid. Steam vegetables for 5 to 6 minutes or until tender.
Try mustard instead of mayonnaise to add extra flavour to your salads and sandwiches.
