Healthy Homemade Muesli Recipe

Ingredients
- 3 cups rolled oats
- 1/2 cup bran sticks (e.g. AllbranTM)
- 1/2 cup slivered almonds
- 1/2 cup pumpkin seeds
- 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
- 1/2 cup sultanas
- 1/2 cup dried cranberries
- 1/3 cup coconut, shredded or dessicated
Method
- Mix all ingredients together
- Store in an airtight container (at room temperature) for up to 6 months

Hi Linda, The recommendation around limiting sugar relates to added sugar. There is a small amount of added sugar in this recipe (from bran and cranberries often have some added sugar) but it's mostly the sugar that is naturally in dairy and fruit. 15g of the 25.5 g of sugar comes from milk. I've made a mistake here and included milk in the nutrition information panel but not in the actual recipe. I'll change it so that the NIP only shows what's in the muesli. Hi Sttamatina, yes, good point! We tend to say how many serves the whole recipe makes, rather than what one serving is. For this recipe, one serving is about 1/2 a cup of muesli. -AF
