Cinnamon Apples

Perfect as a hot dessert, snack or topping for pancakes


  • 1 apple, cored and chopped
  • 1/2 tsp water
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp sugar, optional
  • 1/4 cup reduced-fat plain yoghurt


  1. Place apple, cinnamon, water and sugar (if using) in a microwave safe mug or bowl and mix.
  2. Cover with a plate or cling film with holes in it and microwave on HIGH (100%) for 1 minute. If you want softer apples, microwave in 30 second bursts until you get the right texture.
    Note: if there are several mugs in the microwave It will take longer to cook.
  3. Serve with low-fat yoghurt.

Serving Suggestion: This is delicious on cereal or pancakes.
Comment: Cook up a big batch in a large microwave safe container and keep in the fridge for up to 4 days.
