Morning or afternoon teas are a staple at the office – birthdays, farewells or just a casual team catch up.

Sure, these get-togethers provide a wonderful mix of great company, tasty snacks and tea, but it’s very easy to accidentally have nothing but cake and muffins for lunch. Fortunately there are healthier ways to enjoy morning or afternoon tea!

Here are some of our favourite treats that are satisfying, healthy and tasty.

What’s a morning or afternoon tea without a slice of cake?

If you know someone who likes banana cake (don’t we all?) then they will just love this traditional bake.

And hey, our mini carrot cakes are pretty hard to resist too. Sneaky vegetables increase the vitamin and fibre content of these little beauties.

Packed with fruit and wholegrains – this one is perfect with a reviving cup of tea or coffee.

Light up your spread with some colour

Try our forest fruits yoghurt compote or melon and kiwi fruit parfait .

Serve both treats up in a decorative long-stemmed glass and they will look oh-so fancy.

Add a savoury snack

Whip up our caprese, strawberry or summer mango salsa wontons.

These healthy little pastry delights will leave you wonton more!

Dip into health

Cut up some vegie sticks, like carrot, celery, capsicum and cucumber, and team them with these healthy dips:

To add some extra pizzaz, whip up a batch of these tasty baked tortilla chips to go on the side!

Prep a few ‘help yourself’ snack bowls

Keep it simple with a fresh, colourful bowl of fruit salad. Let the natural sweetness of our nectarine and berry do its thing – it will keep the whole group happy.

Give classic popcorn a makeover with the following variations:

  • Toss warm popcorn with a little cumin, chilli and coriander or your favourite curry powder
  • Toss in a little sriracha just before serving up
  • Sprinkle parmesan, garlic powder and shredded basil over fresh popcorn for a cheesy herb punch.

Ditch the soft drinks and juices – these waters are far fancier… and healthier!
